Teaching the game since 1988 I have learned and developed swing theories from many great professionals in the teaching industry and continue to be a student of teaching and a mentor to my students. The most important realization came to me early in my career that no golfer should learn based on mimicry of another golfers swing, unfortunately, many teachers across the globe in fact try to fit golfers into a template of what needs to be done. The game of golf needs to be learned, developed and improved upon based on the individuals natural movements and not by trying to tear a player down and rebuild a new swing. Mechanics in the golf swing can be developed and taught based on the individuals characteristics to be improved upon and create the best swing for that golfers tendencies. No golfer should have to learn how to recreate an entirely new swing, this is recipe for failure in the long term. The most success a golfer can find in learning comes from instruction that works within the confines of the golfers body, similar to custom club fitting, and not the other way around.
